Our Projects

When the team at Intuba evaluates the individual community projects, we consider the many variables each community and country offers. Our overarching goal for each project is to establish a self-sustainable community that can take on the many variables that living in a Sub-Saharan climate offers. We want the communities in which we work to grow and thrive!

To date, Intuba has drilled boreholes in more than 30 communities in Botswana, Mozambique, South Africa, and Eswatini. In Zimbabwe, we have assisted communities in Gwanda, Nikayi, and Tsholotsho.

ABOUT US

Intuba means "access" in the Zulu language. We empower rural African communities by equipping, training, and supporting local men and women to be the solution to their own community's nutritional and economic needs. First, the communities need access to clean and sustainable water sources. Once the water is available and fitted with solar-powered pumps, the slow-drip irrigation system and raised bed farming techniques create better crop yields, bringing more food and the opportunity to sell crop surplus for profit while building a thriving community. This approach, partnered with education, enables lasting change, one village at a time.
